About the conference
A platform for excellence and exchange
EQTC 2025 has three overarching goals:
- The conference seeks to deepen the connections within Europe’s quantum ecosystem by fostering collaboration among researchers, industry, and policy-makers.
- It will serve as a global showcase of Europe’s academic excellence in quantum sciences as well as cutting-edge advancements in quantum technologies by presenting Europe’s progress to a global audience.
- It will bridge the gap between research, industry, and policy by integrating activities that encourage cross-sector collaboration.
Sessions and activities
The conference will feature plenary sessions and keynotes from leading voices in research, industry, and policy, providing attendees with a broad understanding of quantum technologies’ potential. Technical sessions and panels will delve deeper into specialised topics, fostering in-depth discussions among experts. An accompanying exhibition will offer hands-on demonstrations and opportunities for companies and institutions to present their work.
Organisation and hosting
EQTC 2025 is organised as an official event under Denmark’s EU Council Presidency. The conference is co-organised by the European Commission and is hosted by the University of Copenhagen, in collaboration with the Danish Business Authority, the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
Originally launched under the Quantum Flagship – a major European research and innovation initiative established in 2018 – EQTC has evolved into a key platform for showcasing progress and fostering coordination across Europe’s quantum ecosystem.
Join us in Copenhagen to shape Europe's quantum future
We warmly invite you to EQTC 2025, taking place at a pivotal moment for European quantum technologies. With the Quantum Europe Strategy adopted on 2 July 2025 and the EU Quantum Act on the horizon, this year’s conference is your opportunity to help shape the future direction of quantum in Europe and beyond.
By coming together in Copenhagen this November, the quantum community will play a key role in advancing the goals of the strategy: building a world-class innovation ecosystem, strengthening collaboration between research, industry, and public institutions, and securing Europe’s strategic autonomy in critical technologies.
Your role matters. Whether advancing science, bringing applications to market, or shaping policy, your participation will help ensure that Europe’s quantum ambitions translate into real-world impact.
We look forward to welcoming you to Copenhagen.
